El lema de este año es “No los dejes fuera del equipo” y será transmitido en “vivo y en directo” durante 28 horas por todos los canales locales. Contará con presentación de artistas nacionales e internacionales.
Giacomo Tamburrelli Palma, presidente del Club Activo 20-30 de Panamá, dijo que el objetivo de este año es ayudar con el suministro de insumos a los niños y jóvenes con discapacidad afectados por la pandemia mundial del coronavirus. Por ello cuentan con el apoyo de la Secretaría Nacional de Discapacidad.
“Nuestra historia muestra el compromiso que hemos tenido durante 65 años por y para Panamá y un año tan coyuntural como este 2020 seguimos demostrando que nuestro único objetivo es trabajar por nuestra niñez. Desde el día cero de esta emergencia mundial no hemos parado de trabajar y no lo haremos ahora. Los niños son nuestra prioridad y nuestro trabajo es su felicidad”, expresó Tamburrelli Palma.
Por su lado, Roberto Sayavedra, presidente del comité del Teletón 20-30, dijo que en los recorridos que han realizado a nivel nacional durante estos últimos meses “hemos visto de primera mano que existe una comunidad que se ha sido mayormente afectada (por la pandemia), ya que tienen bajo su cuidado un niño con discapacidad. Esto conlleva insumos adicionales como leches fortificadas, insumos médicos, de limpieza entre otros”.
Durante el lanzamiento también estuvo presente la Primera Dama de la República, Yazmín Colón de Cortizo y la directora general de la Secretaría Nacional de Discapacidad, Donahy Raquel Shaud.
Este año el Teletón 20-30 contará con seis embajadores estrellas: Judith González, quien fue niña símbolo de la primera Teletón realizada en 1981; Mario Quintero, segundo niño símbolo (1982) y paciente recuperado de Covid-19; Elian Zúñiga, niño símbolo de 2009; Eduardo Macre, mejor conocido como “Eduardito”, niño símbolo del 2014; Mayuri Moreno, embajadora estrella del 2018; y Franchesco Velasco: niño símbolo del 2019.
