A practical 2.5 hour workshop to learn the basic techniques for giving a relaxing back, neck and shoulder massage. Explore a deeper level of connection with your partner or loved ones through the healing power of touch.
We will learn:
- about base oils and aromatherapy: the different types of oil used for a massage and how you can create your own aromatic blends at home
- how to create the perfect setting for a massage, with a focus on comfort and safety
- about the different techniques used in Swedish (relaxing) massage and how to apply them
- putting together everything we've learned into a 20 minute routine for the back, neck and shoulders that you can take home with you
Each technique will be explained and demonstrated to you. You will then take turns giving and receiving the massage, with helpful and friendly advice being offered to you along the way.
By the end of the workshop you will understand how these techniques can also be applied to the rest of the body to give a full body massage, and how to flow between each of the movements.
